the start of my freelancing journey

i decided to do...

before we start put on your headset, listen to your favourite song or music and read on buddy.

i decided to start freelancing after a long time of processing my thoughts.

why did I decide to start freelancing? here’s why

  • I don’t have enough money to sustain myself

  • I am old enough not to rely on my parents for everything

  • I have to fund my side projects

a few months back I was learning front-end development for fun(bought a course with my parent’s money). I soon realized that I was not a kid anymore to rely on my parents for everything.

so what did I do? I took a challenge to not ask for any money from my parents so that I could earn my own money.

this is the first week of not asking my parent for money. I’ve got some stuff for you today. It’s about picking a skill for earning money while doing what you love.

list out all the things like

  • what you love to do

  • what the world needs

  • what you can be paid to do

  • what you are good at

List out all the things in each of the above categories and there would be one or two skills or a hobby that has the potential to become a skill that can be monetized.

why are you still reading the newsletter? go and pick a notebook and pen to list the skills or hobbies that you have.

okay. now you’ve got a skill that can be monetized I’ll share the next steps tomorrow.
